1 | c | Sugar, divided |
5 | Eggs | |
1 | ts | Vanilla extract |
3 1/2 | c | Milk |
1/4 | c | Rum |
Cook 1/2 cup sugar slowly in heavy skillet until melted, using a wooden spoon to stir. Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla. Add milk and rum. Pour into a buttered 5 cup mold on top of melted sugar. Place in a shallow pan filled with 1 inch of water. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Chill at least 1 hour before unmolding. From: Earl Shelsby Date: 09-16-94
