Title: Oxtail Stew #3

1 | Or 2 ox tails, cut up | |
1 | Bay leaf | |
1 | Garlic clove | |
2 | qt | Water |
1 | ts | Salt |
1 | ts | Black pepper |
1/2 | ts | Crushed red pepper |
1 | Onion, quartered |
Preparation : Cook ox tails in all above ingredients until tender, 2 or 3 hours. Then add: 1 c. diced carrots 2 stalks chopped celery 1 can tomatoes Drop in vegetables with ox tails and cook until done. (Optional: add 1 teaspoon sugar to enhance flavor.)
