Title: Stewed Prunes

1/2 | lb | Prunes |
1/2 | Lemon, sliced | |
1/4 | c | Sugar |
Wash the prunes and soak them in cold water overnight. In a heavy-bottomed, non-reactive pan cook slowly with lemon until tender. Add sugar and cook 5 minutes longer.
Dried apricots or any other dried fruit may be prepared the same way and mixed with the prunes.
