9 Hard-cooked eggs
1cMedium white sauce
  Salt and pepper
1 1/2cButtered bread or cracker crumbs
  Butter or butter substitute

Slice eggs thin. Fill individual, well-oiled baking dishes with alternate layers of sliced eggs, crumbs, and white sauce. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Dot each layer with butter. Cover with crumbs.
