Title: Chicken Fricot

1 | 5 lb chicken,cubed | |
1/4 | lb | Salt pork |
2 | md | Onions,diced |
1/2 | ts | Oregano |
Salt | ||
Pepper | ||
1 | c | Cold Water |
4 | md | Potatoes,diced |
1/4 | c | Flour |
2 | md | Carrots,diced (optional) |
8 | c | Boiling water |
Cube salt pork and cut chicken into cubes.Fry pork until golden,set aside. Add chicken and fry until brown.Put everything into a large pot and cook until meat is tender.Blend flour and cold water and add to the fricot to thicken it.Summer savory may be also added for extra flavour.
