1/3 | c | Very hot (even boiling) |
Water | ||
1/2 | c | Rolled oats (not instant) |
3/4 | c | Buttermilk |
1 | tb | Butter, margarine or oil |
2 | tb | Sugar |
1 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Baking soda |
2 | tb | Wheat germ |
1 3/4 | c | Bread flour |
1 1/2 | ts | Yeast |
1/2 | c | Very hot (even boiling) |
Water | ||
3/4 | c | Oatmeal (not instant) |
1 | c | Buttermilk |
1 1/2 | tb | Butter, margarine or oil |
3 | tb | Sugar |
1 1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Baking soda |
3 | tb | Wheat germ |
2 2/3 | c | Bread flour |
2 1/4 | ts | Yeast |
1 | lb | Loaf----- |
1 1/2 | lb | Loaf----- |
METHOD: Put oats in bread pan. Pour very hot or boiling water over the oats and stir. Let sit at least 15 minutes. Put remaining ingredients in bread pan in order suggested by your bread machine manufacturer. Set for white bread; medium crust. Press start.
