Title: Apple Onion Rye

| BEST BREAD MACHINE CB EVER | ||
| 2 1/4 | ts | Yeast |
| 1 7/8 | c | Bread flour |
| 1 1/2 | c | Rye flour |
| 1/3 | c | Cracked wheat |
| 1 1/2 | tb | Sugar |
| 1/2 | tb | Salt |
| 1/2 | tb | Caraway seeds |
| 2 | cl | Garlic, crushed |
| 1 | md | Onions; chopped |
| 1 | lg | Apples; chopped |
| 3 | tb | Butter |
| 1/2 | c | Water |
Bring all ingredients to room temperature and pour into bakery, in order. Set "baking control" at 10 o'clock. Select "white bread" and push Start.
In hot & humid weather, use 1/8 c less water.
This barely sweet, fruity rye tastes good with scrambled eggs or in a turkey sandwich. For tea sandwiches, slice thin and spread with cream cheese and toasted sliced almonds.
