Title: Hot Cross Buns #1

Yield: 18 Buns
1/2 | c | Milk |
1/4 | c | Shortening (I substituted applesauce) |
1 | tb | Sugar |
1 1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | c | Water |
1 | Egg | |
1/2 | ts | Cinnamon |
3 | c | Flour |
1 | pk | Yeast (I used 1/2 TB. instant active) |
FROSTING | ||
4 | ts | Milk |
1 | c | Confectioners' sugar |
1/4 | ts | Vanilla |
Do on dough cycle letting rest for 15 mins after kneading.
Shape into rolls and let rise. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes.
NOTE: If I remember right I think I used all the called for liquid. But hold back a quarter cup of the water and add only if needed. Makes 18.
