1 | Envelope unflavored gelatin | |
1/4 | c | ;Cold water |
1 | pk | (3-ounce) lemon-flavored gelatin |
1/2 | c | ;boiling water |
1 | ct | (8-ounce) sour cream |
1 | (5-ounce) jar prepared horseradish | |
3/4 | c | Mayonnaise |
Purple kale or lettuce |
Sprinkle unflavored gelatin over 1/4 cup cold water; let stand 1 minute. Dissolve lemon-flavored gelatin in 1/2 cup boiling water; add unflavored gelatin mixture, stirring until dissolved. Add sour cream, horseradish, and mayonnaise, stirring until blended. Pour mixture into a lightly oiled 4-cup mold; cover and chill until firm. Unmold onto purple kale. Serve spread with beef or ham biscuits. Yield: 25 appetizer servings.
