Title: Walnut-Fried Brie - Sl 10/86

Yield: 6 Servings
1 | c | Walnuts; toasted and ground |
1/2 | c | Dry breadcrumbs |
1 | Egg; beaten | |
3 | tb | Milk |
2 | 8-ounce rounds Brie; chilled | |
1/3 | c | All-purpose flour |
Peanut or vegetable oil |
Combine walnuts and breadcrumbs. Combine egg and milk. Slice each round of Brie into 6 or 8 wedges. Dip each wedge of cheese in egg mixture; dredge in walnut mixture, coating cheese completely. Place on waxed paper- lined plate; chill at least 30 minutes. Fry cheese in hot oil (375F) for 1 to 2 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with assorted sauces. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
