Title: Blackberry Syrup

Yield: 1 Cup
2 | c | Blackberries |
1/2 | c | Sugar |
1/2 | c | Water |
Wash the blackberries and press them through a fine sieve. Bring sugar and water to a boil and simmer the mixture for 5 minutes. Combine the puree with the syrup and let the mixture cool. If desired, a little kirsch or Sherry can be added to the syrup. Use as a base for a beverage made with soda water, or as a desert sauce.
