Hot Turnip (Szechwan Hot Turnip)

Available in cans in Asian groceries, hot turnip adds more of the "hot" than the "turnip" flavor, but it isn't as fiery as the hot chili paste or sauce with garlic. Hot turnip can be used interchangeably with hot radish with chili. If refrigerated after opening, it will keep for many weeks.
