Title: Oatmeal Carmelitas

Yield: 80 Cookies
2 | c | .+ 6 Tbsp Flour (divided use |
2 | c | Quick oats |
1 1/2 | c | Brown sugar |
1 | ts | Baking soda |
1 | ts | Salt |
1 1/2 | c | Butter; melted |
1 1/2 | c | Semisweet chocolate chips |
1 | c | Walnuts; chopped |
1 | Jar caramel topping; 12oz |
Preheat oven to 350øF. Grease bottom and sides of a 9xl3-inch baking dish. Combine 2 cups flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, salt and butter or margarine in a large bowl. Press half of mixture into the bottom of baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips and nuts over the baked crust. Mix the caramel topping and remaining 6 tablespoons flour well. Drizzle over the chocolate chips and nuts. Sprinkle the other half of the oatmeal mixture over the caramel. Bake for an additional 20 minutes. Slice into small squares.
Makes about 80 cookies/bars.
