Title: Green Beans in Garlic Butter

Yield: 4 Servings
2 | tb | Unsalted butter |
1/2 | ts | Cumin seeds |
3 | cl | To 4 cloves garlic; peeled and crushed or finely chopped |
1/4 | ts | To 1/2 tsp chili powder |
3 | c | Whole green beans |
1/2 | ts | Salt or to taste |
Prep- 5 to 10 minutes. Cooking- 15 minutes.
Melt the butter over low heat and fry the cumin seeds for 30 seconds.
Add the garlic and fry for 1 minute.
Add the chili powder and immediately follow with the beans. Stir and fry for 1 to 2 minutes.
Add the salt and mix thoroughly. Cover the pan and simmer the beans in their own juice until they are tender (10 to 12 minutes), stirring occasionally.
Remove from the heat.
Serving suggestions: serve with Chicken or Fish.
