2cDried red chilies
1cCoriander seeds
1/4cCumin seeds
2tbFenugreek seeds
2tbBlack peppercorns
2tbMustard seeds
2tsYellow split peas
2tsRed lentils
2tsPoppy seeds
2lgCinnamon sticks broken into pieces
2 To 3 curry leaves
2tsTurmeric

Heat oil and fry chilies until darkened. Dry roast the other ingredients except turmeric until lightly colored. Grind all the ingredients to a fine powder. Store in an airtight container.
