1 | Bottle (750 ml) red wine | |
5 | oz | Ruby port |
3 | oz | Brandy |
3 | oz | Orange-flavor liqueur |
2 | Cinnamon sticks | |
4 | Cloves | |
4 | Allspice berries | |
1 | Bay leaf | |
2 | tb | Brown sugar |
Orange & lemon slices for | ||
. garnish |
Slowly heat all ingredients except the citrus slices over very low heat. Bring to a simmer; do not allow to boil. Take off heat and allow to stand for 15 minutes before serving. Garnish with citrus (orange, lemon, etc.) slices.
