Title: Brisket W/ Tsimmes

4lbBrisket of beef
2smOnion; sliced
1/2cWater
1lbSweet potato; cut in chunks
1lbBaby carrots; peeled
  Salt and pepper
1/2cOrange juice
1/2cHoney
1/2tsCinnamon
1/4tsGround cloves
1tbGrated orange rind
8ozPitted prunes

Recipe by: Grocery Store Ad Preheat oven to 450. Spay large roasting pan with non stick spray. Heat pan in center of oven for 5 minutes.Remove from oven. Place brisket in center of roaster and surround by onios. Return tooven and let brown turning once. Add the water and cover with heavy duty foil. Place in lower third of ovner,reduce temperature to 350. Cook for one hour. Trun brisket over and add the sweet potatoes and carrots.Combine the orange juice,honey,cinnamon,ground cloves,orange rind and salt & pepper to taste. Pour over brisket and vegetables. Cover with foil and cotinue to cook until tender about 45 minute to an hour,basting every 15 minutes. Increase heat to 400.Remove foil and arrange the prunes among the vegetables. Return to oven for 15 minutes longer to reduce liquid & brown.

NOTE: Regular size carrots can be used as well. Peel and cut into chunks.
