Title: Glazed Hawaiian Meatballs

1 | lb | Ground beef |
1 | Egg, beaten | |
1/4 | c | Quick-cooking rolled oats |
1/4 | c | Milk |
1 | tb | Instant minced onion |
1/4 | ts | Garlic salt |
1/4 | ts | Ginger |
1/8 | ts | Pepper |
8 | oz | Can pineapple tidbits |
2 | tb | Soy sauce |
1 | ts | Sugar |
1/2 | ts | Cornstarch |
1/8 | ts | Garlic powder |
Combine ground beef, egg, oats, milk, onion, garlic salt, ginger and pepper. Mix well. Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Form meatballs by shaping about 1 ts meat mixture around each pineapple tidbit. Place meatballs in a 12"x8" microwave-safe baking dish. Cover with waxed paper. Microwave (high) 7 to 8 minutes or until no longer pink, rotating dish once. Drain.
Combine reserved pineapple juice, soy sauce, sugar, cornstarch and garlic powder in a 1 cup microwave-safe measure. Add any leftover pineapple tidbits. Microwave (high), uncovered, 2 to 3 minutes or until mixture boils. Pour over meatballs and mix lightly. Serve on toothpicks.
