2 | c | Or more water, lukewarm |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
4 | c | Flour |

In Yemen, yeast was homemade, a sourdough starter.
1. Dissolve yeast in water, then mix well w/salt & flour. Knead into smooth. Let rise in warm place, covered, for several hrs. 2. Form loaves into oblong shape, 12-" long, 6-" across & 1-" thick. Press 3 times w/fin- gers along length of loaf. Scatter a ts sesame seeds over each loaf. 3. Bake in 375F oven for abt 20 mins, or until top is brown. Makes 4-5 loaves.
