Title: Lemon Basil Pasta

Yield: 4 Servings

1/2lbLinguine or other pasta
2tbButter or margarine, melted
1tbLemon juice preferably fresh
1 1/2tsBasil leaves
3/4tsGarlic salt
1/4tsBlack pepper
1/4cParmesan cheese, grated

1. Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt in cooking water. Drain and return to pasta pan.

2. In a small bowl, combine margarine, lemon juice, basil, garlic salt, and pepper. Toss with cooked pasta.

3. Sprinkle cheese over pasta and serve immediately.

Makes 4 servings.

Variation: Toss in 2 c cooked, cubed chicken or 1 lb cooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined, before topping with parmesan cheese.
