Title: Not Your Regular Brisket

Yield: 6 Servings

3 1/2 - 4 lb beef brisket; trimmed
1/2cWater
1/4cSoy sauce
1/4tsBlack pepper
1/4cChopped onion
1 Green bell pepper; sliced
1/2cRaisins
2tbBrown sugar
20ozCan unsweetened apple slices -- drained

Place brisket in large pot or baking pan. Add water, soy sauce and pepper. Cover and simmer 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Add onion, green pepper, raisins, brown sugar and apple slices. Simmer 30 - 40 minutes more. Remove brisket and slice. Serve, covered with pan juices.
