Title: Not Your Regular Brisket

Yield: 6 Servings
3 1/2 | - 4 lb beef brisket; trimmed | |
1/2 | c | Water |
1/4 | c | Soy sauce |
1/4 | ts | Black pepper |
1/4 | c | Chopped onion |
1 | Green bell pepper; sliced | |
1/2 | c | Raisins |
2 | tb | Brown sugar |
20 | oz | Can unsweetened apple slices -- drained |
Place brisket in large pot or baking pan. Add water, soy sauce and pepper. Cover and simmer 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Add onion, green pepper, raisins, brown sugar and apple slices. Simmer 30 - 40 minutes more. Remove brisket and slice. Serve, covered with pan juices.
