Title: Lamb Loin Chops w/ Turkish Yogurt Sauce

8 | oz | Plain yogurt |
1/4 | ts | Cinnamon |
1/4 | ts | Allspice |
1/4 | ts | Salt |
1/4 | ts | Cayenne pepper |
2 | cl | Garlic; minced |
2 | tb | Fresh mint; chopped |
1 | ts | Lemon peel; grated |
1 | ts | Honey |
8 | Lamb loin chops; 1 1/4-inch | |
. thick, about 5oz each |
In a bowl stir together yogurt, cinnamon, allspice, salt and cayenne. Add garlic, mint, lemon peel and honey and blend well. Cover and chill 2 to 24 hours.
Trim lamb chops. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat 5 to 6 minutes on each side, to medium doneness. Pour yogurt sauce evenly over all.
