Young tender cucumbers | ||
2 | tb | Salt |
2 | Garlic buttons * | |
Fresh dill -OR- | ||
2 | tb | -- dill seed |
White vinegar | ||
Water |
Pack cucumbers into clean quart jars. Add salt, garlic buttons and dill. Cover with equal parts of vinegar and water. Seal. Place in direct sunshine for 21 days. Before serving, refrigerate overnight or until thoroughly chilled.
* Teri's note: I GUESS this refers to cloves, as opposed to heads of garlic.
