Title: Apple Honey Crumble Pie

1		9" unbaked shell
6	md	Apples, thinly sliced
ARRANGE SLICES IN SHELL
COVER WITH FOLLOWING MIX
1/2	c	Honey
1/8	ts	Salt
1/2	ts	Cinnamon
1	ts	Lemon juice
COMBINE
1/4	c	Sugar
1/4	c	Flour
1	tb	Shortening
1	tb	Butter

Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes. Reduce to 350 and bake until apples are tender.

Suggestion: An excellent pastry for above recipe is the Cheese Pastry:

2 c. flour 1 ts. salt 3/4 c. shortening 5-6 T cold water 1/2 c. grated cheese
