1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/8 | ts | Pepper |
6 | md | Green tomatoes; cut into 1/4-inch slices |
1/2 | c | (approx) vegetable oil |
Combine cornmeal, sugar, salt, and pepper; stir well. Dredge tomatoes in cornmeal mixture.
Heat oil in a large skillet to 375 degrees F.; add tomatoes and fry until golden brown on each side. Drain on paper towels.
