1/4tsSugar
1/2tsSalt
1/8tsPepper
6mdGreen tomatoes; cut into 1/4-inch slices
1/2c(approx) vegetable oil

Combine cornmeal, sugar, salt, and pepper; stir well. Dredge tomatoes in cornmeal mixture.

Heat oil in a large skillet to 375 degrees F.; add tomatoes and fry until golden brown on each side. Drain on paper towels.
