Title: Elegant Gourmet Onions

Yield: 6 Servings

5 Sliced sweet onions
1/3cButter or margarine
1/2tsSalt
1/2tsPepper
1/2cCooking sherry
2tbParmesan cheese
  Parsley sprigs

In large skillet, saute onions in butter for 5 - 8 minutes, until barely tender. Stir while cooking to separate rings. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; stir in sherry. Cook quickly, stirring, for 2 -3 minutes. Pour into serving dish and sprinkle with cheese. Garnish with sprigs of parsley.
