Title: Penn.dutch Sweet Potatoes

6 | Sweet potatoes; washed | |
3 | tb | Butter |
1/2 | c | Packed brown sugar |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1 1/4 | c | Hot water |
Cut pared potatoes in crosswise slices about 1/2 inch thick. Arrange in 2 qt casserole and add the mixture of remaining ingredients. Cover tightly and bake 350 for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer or until potatoes tender.An old Penn. dutch recipe for a simple but delicious dish.
