Title: Chili - Joann Rachor

Yield: 1 Servings
3 1/2 | c | SOAKED KIDNEY BEANS |
1 2/3 | c | Water |
1 | cn | (46oz) tomato juice |
1 | c | Chopped onion |
3/4 | c | Chopped green pepper |
2 | cl | Garlic, minced |
2 | ts | Onion powder |
2 | ts | Cumin, optional |
1 1/2 | ts | Basil |
3/4 | ts | Oregano |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
Soak 2 cups dry beans in 6 cups water 6-8 hours. Drain; do not save water. Combine beans, water and juice. Lightly boil 2 1/2 hours, until soft. Stir occasionally. Add remaining ingredients and continue cooking 30 minutes. Serve as is or with a spoonful of CHEESE SAUCE on top.
