Title: Mom's Stuffed Mushrooms

Yield: 2 Servings
3 | sl | Bacon |
1/3 | c | Sharp Cheddar cheese, shred |
1/2 | ts | Chopped green onions |
1/8 | ts | Salt |
12 | md | Mushroom caps |
1/4 | c | Bacon grease |
Fry the bacon, then drain and crumble. Combine bacon with cheese, onions and salt. (Mushroom stems can be chopped and added, also.) Dip mushroom caps in bacon grease; place on broiler pan. Fill caps with bacon-cheese mixture. Place tops of mushrooms 4 inches from broiling unit; broil 6 to 8 minutes. This recipe can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated. Do NOT broil until just before serving as hor d'oeuvres. This recipe is especially good in complimenting a steak or roast. Randy Rigg
