Title: Wax Out
Categories: Info
Yield: 1 Info
I have never tried this on something as big as a table cloth but I'll throw it out for what it's worth. I have submerged some wax covered objects in boiling water and kept them submerged until the water cooled to room temperature. The wax melts and floats to the top of the water were it hardens when cool. You must keep the object completely submerged all the time until the floating wax hardens or it will completely coat the object. I have never tried this on cloth so I can't say for sure it will work for you. One thing that might help would be to keep the waxy area above the rest in the water so the rising wax does not contact any other part of the cloth.
Here are two things that will sometimes work for wax.
Rub ice cube over wax - which will make the wax brittle and it can then be scraped off the table cloth with a table knife.
Placing the area of the table cloth between two sheets of paper towel, then pressing it with a warm iron, changing the paper towels often.
