1 1/2 | lb | Brown sugar |
6 | | Two-inch pieces cinnamon |
1 | | Level ths. whole cloves |
| | Curl of lemon peel * |
1 | | Level tbs. whole allspice |
2 | | Pieces whole mace |
1/2 | ts | Salt |

Tie spice in bag. Boil fifteen minutes. Remove from stove and take out
spice bag. Just before serving, heat to boiling point. Remove from stove
and add a pint of strong grain alchol. * Makes one gallion punch and will
