6 1/2 | lb | Ripe figs (See note #1) |
1 | cn | #2 1/2 crushed pineapple |
4 1/2 | lb | Sugar |
1/4 | c | Lemon juice |
1 | tb | Cinnamon |
1 | tb | Cloves |
1 | tb | Allspice |
NOTE #1: Weigh figs after peeling, removing only the peeling that . easily pulls off with the stem. Mash peeled figs to fine pulp, add other ingredients. Mix thoroughly and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Pour into hot sterile jars and seal.
