Title: Five Corners Jam

2 1/2 | lb | Five corners fruit, ripe |
1 1/2 | pt | Water |
1 1/2 | lb | Sugar |
2 | Lemons | |
1 | ts | Salt |
For this recipe, the fruit must be properly ripe (orange colour). Cut off and discard the sharp edges of the fruit. Cut fruit into slices about 3/4 inch thick. Add water and boil until temder; about 15 minutes. Add sugar (suggest 1 lb, then test for sweetness.) Add juice of the 2 lemons and salt. Boil until jam jells. Test at 15 minutes. Note: The small seeds are considered to improve the flavour.
