1 | tb | Reduced-calorie margarine |
1 1/2 | c | Evaporated skim milk |
2 | tb | Dijon mustard |
1 | ts | Salt |
1 | ts | Sugar |
1/2 | ts | White pepper |
1 | Egg yolk | |
1 | tb | Cornstarch |
Melt the margarine in a medium skillet over medium heat. Stir in 1 cup of the milk, the mustard, salt, sugar, and white pepper. Cook and stir for 3 min; remove from the heat. Beat the egg yolk and cornstarch in the remaining 1/2 cup milk; gradually stir into the skillet. Return the skillet to medium heat; cook and stir for min, but do not boil.
