1cCorn-meal
1cWhite flour
3tsBaking powder
1/2tsSalt
1tbSugar
1 Egg, well beaten
1cSweet milk
1/4cDiced bacon

Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder and salt. Add corn-meal. Combine egg, milk, and bacon which has been crisped. Add dry ingredients. Fill well-oiled muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake in hot oven (450ø F) 15 minutes. 10 minutes. Mrs. Fred Snell, Erie, PA.
