Title: Three-Hour Refrigerator Pickles

Yield: 2 1/2 quarts
6 | lb | Cucumbers |
4 | md | Onions |
4 | c | Sugar |
4 | c | Vinegar |
1/2 | c | Salt |
1 | ts | Salt, celery |
1 | ts | Mustard seed |
1 1/2 | ts | Tumeric |
Slice the cucumbers 1/4" thick. Slice onion 1/8" thick. Place both in a large nonmetallic bowl. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over cucumbers and onions. Stir well for 5 minutes. Cover and refrigerate 3 hours before serving. Store in refrigerator for up to 3 months, stirring occasionally.
