Title: Orange Bread

2lgOranges
1/2cSugar
1/3cBoiling water
4tsBaking powder
1 Egg, well beaten
1cMilk
3cFlour
1/2tsSalt

Peel oranges. Cut rind in narrow strips. Cover rind with hot water. Boil until tender. Drain. Add sugar and 1/3 cup boiling water. Boil 20 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from fire. Stir until cool. Add egg and milk. Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking powder and salt. Add to orange mixture. Mix thoroughly. Pour into well-oiled loaf pan. Let rise 20 minutes.
