2lbLean chuck
  Lard or cooking oil
1/2mdOnion, chopped
1cnDiced tomatoes
1smPkg. frozen or 1 can white
  Shoepeg corn
12lgGreen chiles, roasted,
  Peeled and cut in pieces or
7ozContainer frozen chopped
  Green chile or
8ozCan chopped green chile
1tsGarlic salt
1tsSalt
6 1/2cWater

Cut the meat up into very small pieces (about 1/2 inch cubes) and brown in a little oil in a large, deep heavy pan. Add the onions.When the meat and onions have been browned, drain off any excess fat. Add the rest of the ingredients and the water. Bring to a boil and simmer for at least a half hour. Serve.
