| | Lard or cooking oil |
1/2 | md | Onion, chopped |
1 | cn | Diced tomatoes |
1 | sm | Pkg. frozen or 1 can white |
| | Shoepeg corn |
12 | lg | Green chiles, roasted, |
| | Peeled and cut in pieces or |
7 | oz | Container frozen chopped |
| | Green chile or |
8 | oz | Can chopped green chile |
1 | ts | Garlic salt |
1 | ts | Salt |
6 1/2 | c | Water |
Cut the meat up into very small pieces (about 1/2 inch cubes) and brown in
a little oil in a large, deep heavy pan. Add the onions.When the meat and
onions have been browned, drain off any excess fat. Add the rest of the
ingredients and the water. Bring to a boil and simmer for at least a half
hour. Serve.
