Title: Rolled Herb Toast
Categories: Condiment
Yield: 10 Servings

SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS; BOOK 1
1/4cButter
1/4ozHerb salad dressing mix
1/2tsDill weed
1/8tsGarlic salt
10slBread; thin

Preheat oven to 300 F. Melt butter in large baking sheet. Add dry seasonings and mix. Trim crusts off bread; flatten each slice with rolling pin and roll tightly. Coat each roll with butter mixture. Bake until lightly browned. Turn several times while baking. Serve hot.

Toast may be frozen or stored in airtight container. Reheat before serving.

Sylvia's comments: thinking this would coat 10 slices of bread was a joke! It barely coated 4. Another good idea that suffered in execution. However, it tasted yummy (I used Good Seasons Herb & Garlic mix) so I tried mixing the herbs into softened butter and then thinly spread on flattened bread, then roll up with butter INSIDE. Still not worth the trouble. Nice spread, though, I'll make that part again.
