Title: White Radish Relish

1 c | daikon -- coarsely shredded | |
: | (white Oriental radish) | |
2 m | d green onions -- thinly | |
: | sliced | |
1 s | m red chili pepper -- seeded, | |
: | finely | |
: | chopped | |
2 T | B rice vinegar | |
1 1 | /2 t | s soy sauce |
1 1 | /2 t | s sugar |
1 t | s canola oil | |
1 | /2 t | s toasted sesame oil |
1 | /4 t | s salt |
This relish has a real kick; serve it with Korean Barbecued Beef and other mild foods. Combine daikon, onion and chili in a bowl. In another bowl combine remaining ingredients until sugar is dissolved. Pour over daikon mixture. Cover and chill up to 24 hours. Makes 16 servings.
