Title: Our Favourite Spaghetti Bolognaise

Yield: 4 Servings
300 | g | Spaghetti -- (10 oz) |
500 | g | Ground veal -- (1 lb) |
1 | md | Onion -- chopped |
1 | cl | Garlic -- minced |
1 | cn | Tomato puree -- |
(13-1/2oz or 425 g) | ||
4 | tb | Tomato paste |
1/2 | c | Ketchup |
2 | ts | Dried oregano |
2 | ts | Basil |
1/2 | c | Dry red wine |
Salt and ground pepper -- to taste
1. Prepare spaghetti according to packet directions, drain and set aside.
2. Brown veal with onion and garlic in either a non-stick or lightly sprayed skillet or frypan.
3. Stir in tomato puree, tomato paste, ketchup, herbs, wine and seasonings.
4. Simmer over a low heat for 30 - 40 minutes (or longer to develop flavour).
5. Serve the sauce over the spaghetti.
