1 | tb | Skim milk |

1/2 | ts | Vanilla extract |
1 | ts | Baking powder |
1/2 | ts | Cinnamon |
1/2 | ts | Ginger |
1/4 | ts | Ground cloves |
1 1/2 | c | All-purpose flour |
GLAZE |

2 | tb | Boiling water |

COOKIES: Beat together oil and margarine. Add milk, egg and vanilla.
Beat well. Combine dry ingredients; blend into liquid mixture. Roll into 1
inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten each ball to 1/4 inch
thickeness with tines of fork to form criss-cross pattern. Bake in
preheated 375 degree oven for 8 minutes. GLAZE: Combine glaze ingredients.
Brush over cookies while still warm. Makes 2 dozen cookies, 2 cookies per
serving. CALORIES per serving: 127 - traditional calories 220. DIABETIC
EXCHANGE: 1 starch, 1 fat. This is a soft cake-like cookie.
