Title: White Bill Stew

2 | Whitebills | |
6 | lg | Potatoes, diced |
Salt and pepper to taste | ||
1 | c | Turnips |
4 | Onions, chopped |
Skin whitebill wash in salt water and let stand overnight in solution of 1/4 cup salt and water to cover. Place in stewing kettle and boil for 10 minutes. Remove and pour off water. Return to kettle, and fresh water to cover. When tender enough to break at joints, remove and add onions, potatoes and turnips, and cook until almost done. Then add whitebill which has been cut in pieces. Thicken slightly and serve.
