Title: Favorite Pickled Pig's Feet

2 | Pig's feet | |
3 | qt | Water |
2 | tb | Flour |
1/4 | c | Cornstarch |
1 | tb | Salt |
2 | c | Brown sugar |
1/4 | c | Soy sauce |
2 | c | Water |
1 | c | Vinegar |
2 | tb | Wine |
1 | Piece ginger root, crushed | |
1 | ts | Ajinomoto |
1/2 | c | Chopped green onion |
Cut pig's feet into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Place in large sauce pan. Add the 3 quarts water and simmer 30 minutes. Drain and rinse. Combine flour, cornstarch, salt and sugar. Add soy sauce, water, vinegar, wine, ginger and ajinomoto. Pour over pig's feet and simmer about 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Sprinkle with green onions. Garnish with Chinese parsley. Optional: Add 1 turnip and 1 carrot, sliced. Myrna Landgraf
