3 | qt | Water |
5 | | Potatoes |
| | Salt and pepper |
1/2 | pt | Sour cream |
1 1/2 | c | Tomato juice |
3 | tb | Flour; heaping |
3 | tb | Shortening |
1 | | Onion; diced |
Dice potatoes and cook in salted water. Melt shortening in skillet; add
flour and onion and brown; add tomatoe juice and sour cream. If mixture is
too thick, add about 1 c. of water. Pour through strainer into kettle of
cooked potatoes. Season to taste. Cook about five minutes or til it comes
to a full boil.
