1 | sm | White onion; sliced thin |
4 | md | Baked potatoes; sliced |

4 | oz | Sharp Cheddar; grated |
| | Milk |
Saute onion in fat. In a buttered casserole put a layer of potatoes, half
the onion, 1/3 the cheese; then a layer of potatoes, half the onion, 1/3
the cheese; then a final layer of potatoes and the rest of the cheese. Salt
and pepper between each layer as you build. Pour milk to come 3/4 of the
way up the top and bake at 350 until top is browned and milk is mostly
