2 | c | Unbleached white flour |
1 | tb | Baking powder |
2 | ts | Sugar |
1 | ts | Salt |
1/3 | c | Shortening |
2/3 | c | Milk |

Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt with an electric hand mixer. Blend in the shortening. Mix in the milk with a fork. Knead about 12 to 15 strokes. Pat out on a floured surface 1/2- to 3/4-inch inch thick/ Cut and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 450-degrees.
Yield: approximately 16 biscuits.
