1 | ts | Dark sesame oil |
1 | tb | Chopped fresh ginger |
1/4 | c | Fresh cilantro leaves; more for garnish |

Combine soy sauce, vinegar, water, oil, ginger, cilantro, lime juice, and hoisin sauce in a blender. Blend on hight speed 2 minutes. Set aside to use as a marinade.
Cut salmon into thin slices, across grain. Place slices between pieces of plastic wrap, and pound them into paper-thin slices. Arrange slices on ovenproof serving plates, and spoon a small amount of marinade over the top of each fillet. Allow to stand 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat broiler. Place each plate of salmon under broiler 1 minute.
To serve, garnish each plate with green onion, lime slices, and cilantro. Serve remaining marinade on the side, to use as a sauce.

NOTE: Excellent also with other fish, seafood, chicken, beef and pork. Also may be used as a salad dressing. If you don't want to pound the salmon, just cut into 4-ounce pieces and cook a little longer.
