Place cinnamon sticks in small pot, fill pot with water. Bring to a boil
on high heat, lower heat and simmer. Steep cinnamon sticks until water
reaches a beautiful red color. If water level drops too low, add a bit of
cold water, and continue to simmer. To serve, pour out into small cups,
and sweeten with a bit of sugar. Note: This recipe is the one used by my
husband's family every night. He says it's become a bit of tradition in
their family. After enjoying a half dozen cups of canela one evening, it's
